The aim for Single Chart was to embrace some of the latest technologies to enable the site to run without any maintenance or input required from a human. Everything is handled automatically using various music APIs to generate the data and update the entire website on a daily basis. The site generates revenue by offering downloads via the iTunes store which are on a comission basis.
